    Default Dr. Droid

Hello, I'd like to request an application if someone is wanting to make it.

It would be an application to keep track of your medications. You would input the medication, the dosage (how many mg per pill, how many mg to take for dose), the count of how many you have left, what days you have to take it, and what times per day (even multiple) you have to take it. It could also have an option for no date or time, but still keep track of the amount of pills left, for those people who are prescribed medication that is to be taken "as needed".

The program would alert you when it was time to take your medication (with a time customizable snooze option if you're not where you can take your medications), and would also alert you when you were running low on the medication and need to reorder it (you could define how low the prescription could get before you get the warning). It would also have a button next to each medication labeled "take dose" or something, so if they take it a little before the alert, it would set the count properly, and cancel the alert. A user defined applicable period for next dose could be set for each medication (like if a medication should be taken every 4 to 6 hours) and if the they press the button to take dose before that period hits, it could give them a warning (something like "warning, you last took this medication at {time} and the prescription states to wait at least {time period} before taking it again. Are you sure you want to take another dose?).

This program would be good for people who need to take multiple medications daily or even those who only have to take one. It's good for those who have to take prescribed medications temporarily (for infection, etc..) as they have a higher chance of forgetting to take their medications on time. This program would also be good for women who are on birth control, so they have a reminder to take said birth control, and for everyone to keep track of how many doses they have left so they can refill their medications before they run out.

When envisioning this, the thought of the alert screen having a cartoon doctor with a text bubble stating "Dr. Droid prescribes {number of pills}{medication} to be taken immediately!

I would request that this application be either free or at a cost of no more than .99c (free offset with ads is always a great way to go about it), and All I ask is that you give idea props to me. You can keep the full software income derived from this program.

My significant other has FVL, which is a rare blood disorder that causes her blood to clot easily. I remind her to take her medications daily, and she has to take them at different times. this application would help out immensely.

If there are any takers please post back here or send me a PM. thanks

    Try this one: http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.cs...d.MyMedBoxLite

You can scan the barcode with the barcode scanner if you've got it, or just search up the name in the Android Market.

It doesn't have all the features you want yet, but according to the dev, a paid version will have more features. You could email them to suggest some of the features you had in mind.

I do appreciate the attempt at helping, but that program doesn't have a single feature that i was looking for, other than entering in the prescription info. As far as the paid app version, chances are it won't have all the features i'm looking for, which is why i posted my request here.

Thank you for the suggestion though

Have you tried emailing them with your suggestions? It looks like they're going to be making multiple versions anyway, and your suggestions might turn into another one.
