try http://www.drugs.com/iphone on the g1's browser. a little laggy, but does its jobi've been using it to look up some of those uncommon meds that doctors prescribe.
Couldn't Microsoft make an application for G1 that would allow it to use Microsoft operating platform? Then it would be possible to use the Epocrates version for Microsoft systems.
I know they are trying to come up with their own version of an app phone though, so that may not happen.
Please somebody make an app that allows G1 phones to use Epocrates. I guarantee there will be very high demand!
This is what Epocrates said to me yesterday. I hope we will see it soon!!
"Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding Epocrates.
We are still considering a native version of Epocrates for your model phone; however, we do not have a time frame for release. I have forwarded your suggestion on to our Product Development team for consideration."
Are you guys still interested in an offline version of epocrates running from the sdcard?
I have a offline beta version running on my android,
but only can access like 85% of the drugs, and the internal links needs to be
modified in order to resolv correctly. Easy to fix but time consuming.
The 64,000 cents questions is :
How much are you willing to paid for a release version with 100% access to
drugs links plus internal link resolv.
I'am a medicine school graduated with tons of clinical experience, reviewing to the USA Medical license examination + bachelor on science and a minor on computer science (linux programing since 1999) , so I know what I'm doing.
Just let me know and I will start coding ASAP.
Sincerely,
Drzeno

I would be willing to pay for it, assuming a reasonable amount. Would the database be updateable?
Michael
Just found out that A to Z Facts along with a handful of other medical databases are now available for android. If interested: https://www.unboundmedicine.com/ubstore/ub/android
I will be downloading and trying out soon.
Definately an app that I would want... I'm student.

talked to epocrates today and they said there will be a free version out by the end of the year...
Shana: Hi, my name is Shana. How may I help you?
Stock: i was wondering if there was going to be an available program for android devices?
Shana: We plan to release the free version of Epocrates for Android by the end of the year
Shana: No exact dates though
Aaron: great, thank you very much
Hey everyone, I was just contacted by a representative of ePocrates and they did confirm that they are trying to release a native epocrates for the android platform. Now here is the cool/interesting part. They are looking for people to test out the software first and give feed back. The only caveat is they want people who are local to San Mateo county and the surrounding regions, since they would want you to stop by their office to discuss your experience.
They are also hoping to find people who have used epocrates before or that are at in the medical field. If any of you who have an android phone and live around Northern Cali, send me an message with your email, and I will forward your information on. Also if you have any friends in medical field in that area who has an android handset, let them know. I figure anyway I can help them get android epocrates released, the sooner I can stop lugging around my out-dated palm which wont even sync anymore.
I see that Guillermédico is in the San Fran area. If you still view this petition, I would assume you would be a great candidate.
They came to me apparently because I started that Petition for epocrates on android @ Petitionspot.com [http://petitionspot.com/petitions/androidepocrates]. It's too bad I live in Ohio otherwise I would be all over this. The greatest thing about this petition is that it was actually effective and useful. So tell any all of your friends to sign that petition. They do follow and see that people are signing it every day. Also if you know anyone who fits the demographic they are looking for, forward them on to me. (most likely Doctors, Med Students, Pharmacists, Nurses etc...)
I will post additional details when I find get more info.
Alex
p.s. I am in no way affiliated with ePocrates or hold any stock in them. As a first year resident I hate having to call the pharmacist in the hospital to ask them to dose meds, or fumbling around to find the right meds when I dont have a computer nearby.
