Many of you might have already read the storey on the front page about how there may not be a Facebook App coming to Android any time soon. If you have not read it, you can find it here: http://androidcommunity.com/android-...-app-20081023/
As we all know, there is a Myspace App already. But lets face reality, we all installed the Myspace App, checked a few things and then closed it. I used it for no more than 5 minutes, but I've spent at least 30 minutes today on Facebook through the web browser on my G1 today. Having a Facebook App would enhance the usability of the site a lot.
I started a Facebook Group to help rally G1 users together in support for a Andorid Facebook App. If you would liek to join, the name of the group is: "Android Facebook App" If anyone want to photoshop a little graphic for the group logo. Maybe a Facebook App Icon on an Android desktop or a facebook logo on he G1.
Facebook could take advantage of a lot of the features the Android platform has to offer. They could create a Facebook phonebook ofr contacts that you may not have in your Gmail account, they could update your status indicating your location on Google maps since the G1 has GPS, and a lot more.
I hope this works, that would be my fav app

To update your status you can always use the Locale app to update your Twitter status and use the Twitter app in Facebook to update your Facebook status... Works great!
