Google Chrome Remote Access: Contol your GC Documents on your PC via Android

This is thread is in "New Application Ideas" it is a suggestion and with hope they will implement it or something like it.


Scenario for Google Chrome Remote Access:
Problem:
Have you ever gone to work and forgot your files?
Worked all night on your power point presentation and over slept.. then you ran out of the hotel but forgot to bring your presentation?
It's 3pm, you need to finish and turn in your report by 5pm... your computer is on the other side of town and traffic isn't gonna disappear just for you... So what will you do?

Solution:
Remotely access your PC online 24/7 via your android phone.

How?:
As long as the PC is on and connected to internet.
Steps:
Have an iGoogle tab as a homepage on Google Chrome.
(With this feature Google chrome does not need to be open prior to the exchange... computer just needs to be on and online...)
Have your account name and password saved under iGoogle so you are always under that account and IP address via your PC.
Use Google Chrome Remote Access:
Searches through your history of IP addresses signed in under your Google account that have a PC online and connected to the internet. Done by "pinging" previously sign-ins' under the same Google account.
(you must have already allowed for remote access previously through "options" in your iGoogle account)
Automatically enables Google Chrome application to open on your desktop.
Then asks for personalized password previously setup for this feature.

Your PC's Google Chrome is now open on your android and you now have complete control of your PC's Google chrome
You can look at your web page history, access Google programs found only on your PC and you can use the Google Docs application.

Google Docs "Upload a File" screen pops up.
Click "Choose File"
Have complete file access as it you have your desktop in front of you. Choose which file to upload and automatically upload it to your Google Documents folder.

Go to a work computer with internet access and open your Google Documents account... see the file "click" and print.
It would a very useful tool and I believe it will encourage many business oriented people to become android users.

Summary:
Remotely access your PC online via your Android and upload and download files to Google documents. Look at the browser history and have quick access to any file on your PC.

In my scenario I wanted to depict "Ease of use" to be the forefront if something like this is developed. Many people have computers and know people (ie: hackers) have someway to access your computers but have no idea on how they do it. I myself do not have a lot of networking experience (aside from the simple stuff)... but if I had this application hopefully it would be as easy as this to remotely access your files. Having passwords and having prior setup required... would make a person more comfortable that their computer and their files are protected.

Wait... is this possible or a suggestion.. cause that's a really dumb way for it to work. Just need someone to create a vnc program for android. I have one on my ipod.

LOL its just a suggestion... I know its more complicated than what I am saying and more security issues would need to be implemented... but I figure it would be a nice idea to be able to control your computer and upload stuff to your Google documents...
I run remote access to technitions to have software repairs done from inside my store so I thought it would be a good idea to have remote access to upload onto your google documents...
I look at android as a mini computer in the palm of my hand... if this were true then it is only a matter of programing and you can do the same things you normally could through that computer.

So let me correct myself. Remotely access Google chrome through your PC through by using android by whatever you deem is best possible solution. So you can upload personal documents to google documents and have access to your computer.

Honestly they already have a program that can do this for PC just you need to have some software preinstalled so I figured it would be the same... and since it was from google I believe having the ability to do it by using google's browser would be the best solution because they made the software it may be more flexible to implement something like this.

well you could add some vncness to chrome, would make a good selling point (but for free ) for chrome. you shouldnt have to use igoogle and get your ip that way though. any smart remote acess user gets a dns hostname for there computer.

Ok first of all let me apologize to many of you that believed this was a current application. I had this belief that when you post a thread in "New Application Ideas" that people would understand what I am posting is a "New Application Idea". I guess that is my fault right? So what I'll do is edit my post to make it more clear so others can understand what I am suggesting.

Sorry if my previous post sounded like I didn't care... it was 8am... I was on my way to work... and it was something totally expected... I really didn't know the most appropriate response to say... so I just acted on emotion and responded.
Hopefully you guys understand... My reason for posting in this forum is to put my input to make new ideas for this platform... whether or not they are good or bad is for the developers to decide... but regardless I will try... so have a good day...
