    ^^ the only problem with that for me is that i think it would bog down my messaging app always having that thread there

    The app store has some pretty useless stuff in it. You would think priority is to make this phone a better communication device.

    I'd like to see the ability to add a category/group field to any contact (like WinMo/Outlook)
    When adding a recipient for the SMS/txt, show only filtered contacts by a group.
    Then be able to select all, none, or individually the contacts to add to the recipient list.

    The lack of this, which should be a standard feature on any phone, is pretty much the reason I haven't bought into android yet...

    Necroposting, but check out Text Easy. I send messages out to my frat brothers, people I want to come to events and people I want to come to parties.

    Google Contacts makes it easy to set up specific groups. It just takes time to make the initial setting up. Text Easy also works with ChompSMS, and that makes me insanely happy.

    The "Make shift" sol'n of making 1 contact with multiple numbers does not work.

    I wish texting were like using gmail... You could send texts to anyone in a group or individuals, or a combination.
