I think it would be awesome to have an app like milkdrop, g-force app that you could watch while listening to your music. Does anyone know if or where such apps could be found and if not I just think it would be a cool idea. I dont know why they haven't made a phone with that type of internal option. Atleast that I know of. Any info appreciated.![]()
I too would love to see an app like this and would even be willing to pay for it if decent
If licensing (*cough*Nullsoft*cough) is an issue, perhaps we could recommend porting VSXU Player / VSXU Artist?
It seems insane that with all these 3D effects and media capabilities, that no one at Google thought supporting a VIS API would be a good idea!
2.2 doesn't even support it yet, even though there are Live Wallpapers for 2.1 that make calls to those very functions!
C'mon, Google: Dress up our media players already! I want a Live Wallpaper that shows my live camera view while you're at it.

I would pay for this too
I just made candytunes into an app that you can get in the marketplace: candytunes android music player
It plays music from soundcloud.com and you can create your own account and upload your own tracks and create a favorites list.
It does not play music from your local phone drive, but I have found that there is a HUGE inventory of indie music out there as well as some major artists.
candytoon ? heee looks fun, I'll try it

Thanks! let me know what you think of it!
This is a reply to the original poster, and everyone interested in this kind of music visualisation:
I have created just that, a visualisation app that works with all mp3 and other media players out there, as long as you are on Android 2.2 or up.
It currently has 10 very different visualisations to choose from, and more are coming.
If you are interested, fire up the Android market and do a search for:
Visualisator 5000
Or if you're on your Android device right now, click on this link to go to the correct market link immediately:
market://search?q=pname:nils.visualisator5000.free
Try the (ad-supported) free version or buy the full version for peanuts!
Screenshots can be found here (site is a bit of a work in progress I'm afraid):

Thanks for your time,
Nils Desle
