What if you wrote an app for downloading Torrents? Now do not think I am a torrent freak. But it would be nice to leave your phone downloading something all night and in the morning you go to work and there it is on your micro sd card in the phone. No checking on it before work or after. You just download it all day and do not even realise you are doing it. Is that possible?
Thanks
Something like that might be cool.... if it only worked over wifi.

TMobile has soft-capped 3G speeds at 10GB per month, which is easily passed when using torrents.
Additionally, I don't think the DalvikVM supports Java's Native IO (NIO) functionality, and, to be frank, the platform just isn't designed to be heavy on IO. Best to leave this up to beefier desktop machines.
i thought this was going to involve tijuana, a kilo of blow and any hunter s thompson style road trip you could come up with, but i guess torrents would be pretty wild too...
There is an app on the iPhone that lets you download torrents, so its entirely possible for one to be developed for android
What I would love to see is an app that works in conjunction with your home pc. You could visit a torrent site on your g1, and when you click the link it could begin downloading it on your bittorrent enabled pc.
haha badass idea but not for me.
I leave the torrent (movie bootlegging / album ) downloading to my brother.
I just watch/listen and enjoy them.![]()
