I think it would be great if we could get an app that locates where you are via GPS and gives you suggestions of good restaurants with restaurant reviews and good things to order from each restaurant.
There is already an app that does that:
Check out PEEBLEBOX, you can write and drop public notes at restaurants for people to try stuff, or leave private notes @ stores just like a virtual shopping list

How about an app for easy Yelp integration that works with the gps? It could suggest restaurants in a given area or prompt you to review one when you're done eating.
Im a fat boy and im hoping this comes preloaded lol
I think we need to start doing some more cooking...lol
I must confess Yelp is completely new to me, first time I ever heard of it.
There may not be plenty of demand for applications that do things that you can just log onto a website and check out what you need.
I think the browser can help in that case....no?

I would imagine that google Maps would work just fine for this idea. Right now in google maps when you look up a business, restaurant or anything else, there's a little link that reads "Reviews" click on the link and you can read any reviews people have made or write your own review.
New to Yelp? What about JATBAR?
There's a web version of yelp, as well as an actual downloadable from AppStore version for the iPhone. You could use the web version for now and hope that we get a similar item for Android.
I'm currently learning Java so I hope sometime to make a Android and iPhone friendly version of my website. JATBAR is my favorite bay area site for reviews, so if I had a mobile version of that...Then again, with the 3G, it's almost the same.

Yelp has Google maps integrated quite well, it also has a nice treatment as part of Ubiquity for firefox. It's social networking style would integrate well with what Android developers are trying to do. Honestly, it would be nicer not to have a "yelp" application, but to integrate its functionality into other apps - for instance bringing up yelp reviews of areas that you enter into, or giving you links to yelp reviews when doing a search for restraunts and other businesses - giving you a quick and easy way to submit a review yourself.
