    Is there or will there be a program like Spb, to store, archive, etc. text messages indefinitely from off your phone?

    Sms Vault
    Buy it.
    Back up texts to your sd card
    Mount your phone
    Place them on your p.c.

    SMS Backup will auto-upload them to your gmail account, and apply a label.

    SMS Backup & Restore saves to your SD in an XML format which can be read (on your computer) with XML Notepad, free from MS.
