Why can't we close programs that are running in the background? We need a task manager. sometimes i'll load a webpage and all my ram is used up and i get the message 'low on memory'. why can't i just close the program to free up the ram?
the 5 apps that are 'open' in the background arent actually open...there is no need for a task manager
clear your web cache, or get rid of some of the garbage programs you've probably got.
just keep backing out of the applications and they will 'close'
Except I ran into some trouble with the Browser, no matter how many times I went into it and backed out, it still showed up on Task Switcher.
Yeah, it's a program that allows you to use the camera button to act as an ALT+Tab (windows) Command+Tab (Mac)
Pretty useful, allows you to see what if actually running. However it doesn't allow you to close them. You need to go into the app that is running and back out.
You can't back out of the browser, because hitting the back button just takes you to the previous webpage.
we have a task manager
$ su
# ps
# kill [PID]
![]()
The next OTA update will have a task manager-like option.
