    Default fommy.com 1600mAh battery

    Hey Guys,

Thought i'd make a post to warn everyone away from buying this battery.

The battery does not perform as well as the standard 1150mAh one.

    My testing criteria are.
    • Brightness to 100%
    • Wifi on
    • Bluetooth on
    • Wireless location on
    • GPS on
    • Screen timeout: Never
Then I leave the phone on the Status page in settings so that I can see the battery %, I then leave the phone alone and don't touch it at all. I occasionally write down the battery percentage and time.

The first test I did on the standard battery which has had 6 full cycles of charge and drain. The first test on the new battery is when I first got it without it completing any cycles. As you can see the two tests on the standard battery outperform the fommy battery significantly even after the fommy has had a chance to "callibrate" with 4 full cycles. (note one is missed out as I actually had to use the phone one day and used it with the fommy battery so it got another cycle outside of test parameters.

    Here is the data

    =First test standard battery (after 6 cycles)=

    Start 100%: 14:53 On PC, 14:51 on G1
    75% @ 15:59 on PC, 15:57 on G1 = 66 minutes
    60% @ 16:48 PC, 16:46 on G1 = 115 minutes
    50% @ 17:22 PC, 17:19 on G1 = 149 minutes
    40% @ 17:51 PC, 17:49 on G1 = 178 minutes
    20% @ 19:08 PC, 19:06 on G1 = 255 minutes
    5% @ 19:41 PC, 19:39 on G1 = 288 minutes
    2% @ 19:54 PC, 19:52 on G1 = 301 minutes
    Dead @ 20:00 PC time = 307 minutes

    =First test with 1600 battery (first cycle)=

    Start 100% 21:40 PC time

Maybe u should buy the seidio 1400mah and see the results.

Its slightly larger and heavier than the stock 1150mah so I believe its legit.

I've gotten about 6 hours of continuous awake time (after conditioning) on the seidio so I think it gets an extra hour or so of battery life compared to the stock.

Not that good, I'd say. Though, you might be able to convince them by showing the tests to them? :/

I'd really be interested in having a similar test for the Seidio battery with 1400 mAh. Would anyone having one be so nice and do a test?

Bought the Seidio Innocell 1400 battery and have had no problems. Lasts 4 to 5 days with moderate use. When charging it is a cool as a cucumber. n The stock battery was getting hot so called HTC and received a replacement for it. Haven't tried it yet.
