Hi,
recently I got one Samsung i7500 Phone and I can't find the update option. My firmware is 1.5.
Another strange thing is that it haven't a voice search widget (text search only).
These features are not native in Android SO?
Thanks.
You need to use NPS to update the phone, or use Odin (unoffical method to update). If you are going to use NPS, make sure to download the latest version from the samsung mobile site. The one that comes with the phone doesnt work properly for updating.
Voice search is native in 1.6, you need to download google voice search from market.
where are you located ? u can update it manualy , but you should receive an ota ,wich is the auto update
I'm brazilian and my phone is locked from TIM (communication company service).
I have some questions:
So, where download the NPS ?
It's legal to use this software to updarte my phone ?
Will be problem to update locked phone ?
Thanks.
I found NPS software, but i can't download it because Samsung i7500 model does not appear in the list to do download it.
Where download it ?
Thanks
Latest NPS is here:

Putz, this software does not support Win7 x64
The NPC install, but the problem is with drivers.
Where i find these drivers ?
Enable USB debugging on the phone (settings -> applications -> development -> usb debugging)
Then plug the phone into the computer. If it asks for drivers point it to C:\Program Files\Samsung\Samsung New PC Studio\USB Drivers
There will be one driver that doesnt install (thats the adb driver for debugging, ignore it).
I'm not sure if the new NPS will work on windows 7, but I did use the original NPS on win7 to update my galaxy from FF to G8 firmware about 3 months ago.
I tryed your solution but I'ved no success
Have how I clear all my mobile drivers to repeat all operations again ?
I see you posted at androidforums tooI replied there linking to another thread there. Have a look.
