Before the first ever Samsung Android Phone - the Samsung Galaxy - makes its way to American shores we’re already hearing about another version of the same phone… the Samsung Galaxy Lite. The Wi-Fi Alliance passed the phone through its certification process and IN the process outed the device’s existence.
There is no solid evidence that the Samsung Galaxy Lite will run Android OS, but one would THINK that it would be a smaller version of the same phone with more meager hardware specs. I would assume this phone runs Android… wouldn’t you?
But we can’t be sure and unfortunately, even if it IS running Android, there is no telling when or if it will ever reach North American shores. After all, we’re still waiting for the original Galaxy.

Galaxy lite?? How much can they cut the specs? Isn't 128mb of ram already pretty much as lite as you can go?![]()

The Samsung Galaxy lite won't have the amoled screen, only a 3mp camera, and less internall memory (less then the 8gb the Galaxy has). I could be wrong, but I believe those are some of the differences. RAM and processor stay the same.
Who knows, this isn't brand new information by any means. I read about a cheaper version of the i7500 months ago, around when the t-mobile roadmap leaked. Google is your friend.
I know it has a smaller camera, yet still maintains the flash (word is the bigfoot might have this same camera;3.2 megapixel). Will share alot of the same features as the bigfoot.
Can someone else who keeps up with Android phones jump in and help this guy with a link?
Here's a couple links i found. Took about .5 seconds to find through Google. Some of you Android rookies should really keep up, this phone is old news. Supposedly originally called the Spica.
