I'm a little torn also. I really liked this phone when it was first announced. But the processor and memory issue make me hesitate. its the age old problem with technology, do I get the device that is available now or soon will be and is good enough, or wait for the one that we've been teased with (SonyEriccson Xperia) which won't be available for a while to come but with better specs.
it's not at all slow and has 192 RAM just like the G1. I bought mine from Germany from ebay, but it was never used (it was even sealed). I have it from friday and the only dissapointment is the battery life, although i read somewhere that it improves after 5-6 charges. I charged it for the 3rd time today and in 12 hour it went from 100% to 70%, using only 2G connection, background data and google sync disabled. Most of this period was during the night and the only thing running on it was the alarm, no widgets, no apps in background, nothing. I was expecting something better because from the android devices currently on the market this one has the best battery (1500mAh) and the AMOLED screen (which looks great btw) it's said to consume less power. If it weren't for this battery issue then this device would be great, but having to charge it every day simply spoils all the fun. And and I don't think it's a hardware problem with my battery because I read a lot of complaints about this issue on the italian and german forums. There is a firmware update from Samsung and they say it improves the battery life, I haven't tried it because the last firmware update caused even more problems (random reboots, screen flickering, etc) so I'll wait to see if this update is ok.
