Default Swith to Verizon Droid from iPhone 3gs

Ok guys, so i really miss the Verizon network. I left it only for the iPhone, but i cant take the network anymore and the droid and Imagio seem to do everything i do now, and room for more. Few questions though about Android.

I tried to do some research, but kinda hard to find some of the questions i had.

Is the touchscreen for texting going to be as easy or nice as the iphone? Maybe less double button hits from the iphone even?

Does the Android software coming on the Droid going to have flash support for web browser off the bat? I kept finding different answers to this.

What is used to handle playlist for music? I mean i obviously use iTunes for mine, and iv used iTunes for years to manage my music, as i really like how well it does. Never been a Windows media player fan really.

I think thats my main questions. Hope this is in the right forum, seemed like best spot.

    1) On-screen Keyboard looks to be pretty good and at par with the I-phone..if you find the Droid version isn't what you expected then there are apps to mimic the i-phone keyboard..you are losing a bit of width with the Droid but I wouldn't worry

    2) There won't be flash support off the bat but Adobe is still working on a version for android from what I am aware of..we should have it must sooner than the I-phone due to safari limitations, I would guess it won't be long till it arrives on the droid because there are already versions of it for hacked phones

    3) Personally I keep using i-tunes and just drag the songs over to my SD card as I acquire more. People complain but its the easiest thing to do.

    Hope this helps
feel free to add or correct anyone

I have never used a Droid virtual qwerty, but the I have used a G1, mytouch, and a Hero, and none of them are as good as the iPhone's virtual keyboard. The iPhone's keyboard supports faster typing, and has smarter word correction. Fortunately for the Droid, you can always fall back on the physical keyboard.

The Droid does not support flash, and has no work around for it at the moment.

One nice thing about Android phones is that you don't need desktop software to sync a playlist, you can do it directly from the device. However, the Droid to my understanding offers desktop software that allows you to manage your media similarly to the way iTunes does. Even supports remote syncing via WiFi

Alll I'm gonna say is that you will miss the Apple App Store, the Android Market is pratically garbage. IMO

Hello everyone. I am new here and discovered this site looking for more information about Android specific forums.

I have Iphone 3g and HTC Imagio. I am trading the Imagio for the Droid this friday (within my 30 days return policy).

I had high hopes for Imagio, because I need Verizon network and I love Iphone. So I thought Imagio will be a perfect fit. Not even close. I am so irritated with win mobile, I just wanna throw that thing against the wall. Memory management is terrible, I always run out of memory and the phone starts crawling, using task manager all the time is annoying. Winmo 6.5 is still not as finger-friendly as the iphone - a lot of buttons are small and obviosly were designed for using a stylus. Call history is horrible, I have pissed off and irritated all my friends dialing their number by mistake. I thought winmo 6.5 fixed that, but nope - don't touch anything in your call history, it'll dial the number.

And the worst part is web browsing, it is pathetic with native IE or Opera 9.5 alike. Slow, slow, slow, wi-fi, ev-do rev. A - slow. The only good thing about it is HTC UI, but that gets boring after a while, especially when the rest of the device sucks.

I really have high hopes for the Droid, and from the reviews I think it's gonna meet all the great things iphone is/does and add even more functionality on top of that with multi-tasking, open source, navigation.

the droid (or any other android phone) onscreen keypad in landscape mode allows for fast typing. the iphone keypad is only available in portrait mode.

The iPhone keyboard was only available in portrait like two years ago. It has landscape and has for a while. I would imagine the droids bigger screen will definitely make it nicer than typing on the g1 or any other android device out.

I have the original IPhone 3G. The phone is great but the dropped calls and "Cannot connect to data network" errors are ****ing annoying.

    Hellooo Verizon/Droid!
