Crazy, I got a couple of questions for you. This 6.0r1 has been kicking my a$$. I keep having problems with widgets and apps force closing. Could my ext2 partition get corrupted? I got the latest radio and SPL and I wiped before I flashed. I used the "appstosd" app you sent me, when I opened the app up and pressed the appstosd button, I got sent to another screen where I had 4 options (Allow, Allow Always, Deny, Deny always). I pressed Allow, and it did its thing, but then I started having problems. Should I reformat the ext2, but that would mean I would have to install all my apps from "Astro" or "MyBackupPro" correct?
The other subject was, between Acronis and NTI which one do you recommend. Which is more user friendly or has more features? Have you ever tried the brand "Migo PC Backup". Sorry for all the questions.
WITHOUT WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE IS USELESS.
did you press "allow" or "always allow"

Does it? idk, but it reminded me of the pop ups I get with my virus protection stuff, and when I DON'T press "always allow" oh boy I get problems

i've seen a few people reporting force closes on 6.0. me,i think i had one or 2. i just updated those programs and all is good now. reformatting your ext2 is a last option and the most work. i have ubuntu dual booting with xp,but it's still a pain because you have to redo all your apps using my backup or astro like you said. regardless,it's not like it takes hours. i'd try everything else before formatting my sdcard. if you do do it,just format the whole card, not just the fat32. copy everything from fat32 to your hdd first. but i'd still try wiping and reflashing again. there is a 1.5 apps2sd version in the market. i doubt thats your problem though because i used version 1 and have no issues. worth a shot though. don't use version 1 to move caches. it's removed from 1.5 because it didn't work.
as far as acronis or nti....i've used many imaging programs over the years, going way back to norton ghost. they've all acted up eventually. but it was usually windows fault. right now i'm running acronis true image and nti drive backup. i also have novabackup installed, lol. i'm friggin nuts about recovery options. i lost 40 gigs of music once. i had to run recovery software to recover the partition i accidentally deleted. took many many hours to recover. i learned my lessons the hard way. nti is very user friendly. slightly friendlier than acronis. acronis has more features though.
here are a couple of free ones. not sure if they backup to optical media though.

Ah...this is the question I had in another thread that no one answered.
That's what happened to the phonedog guy...new spl+converting back to old radio=bricked.
So I'm guessing if you were at a newer radio/SPL. and you wanted to go back to stock...the only way would be to downgrade your SPL first? then downgrade the radio?

There should be a new walkthrough on how to root the phone and get HERO on properly... I can't wait for the Widgets to work perfectly fine.
