    Default Android browser reports itself as Apple Safari!


    Hey all...

    I just took a look-see at my web access logs right after surfing one of my pages on my G1, and I found my G1 in the list, but it appears to have portions of it based on Apple Safari -- or at least so it says...

    At least it shows Mozilla, Linux, Android, Dream before AppleWebKit and Safari...

    They both use WebKit as the html rendering engine. WebKit is open-source. Safari uses it, Android Browser uses it, Google Chrome uses it and a few others.

    Almost all smartphones work off of WebKit, so its no surprise. And to add, many websites r now iPhone compatible so this is better for all webkit users.
