Wow! That's a neat idea. I want to port android onto the first gen unlocked iPhone I have as well. Although the "iPhone" in these pictures looks like one of the Chinese knock-offs. Not sure how authentic of an iPhone that is .

I'd willingly buy a qualcomm chip powered knock-off iPhone just for the kicks though .

Well.... that definitely looks real!.... But is it a good idea to have android on iPhone? may be not Because specs wise i don't see how iPhone is better than any other phone.... Android can perform better on phones which have superior hardware than iPhone... like HTC Touch Diamond....

But then again, since multi-touch is related to hardware, may be android can support multi touch only on iPhone hardware...

PS: Good to see android browser (Chrome lite) has Gears settings built-in!

I think it is possible to do it but those pictures don't look real though. It's very easy to put those screen shots on the iPhone using Photoshop.

Or do screen caps from the emulator and just look at them fullscreen on the iphone.

Definitely not Photo Shopped, I can guarantee that.

If it was photo-shopped I would expect blurry pictures and what not ... this lux pretty close to original ... the only thing is: is this first picture showing real home screen or it will be different? According to the Android announcement it looked different...

Seriously, guys, I already told you how they did it.

    Download the SDK/emulator.

Take screen grabs from the emulator

Crop out the "phone" interface from the pics, leaving just the Android interface

Load new .jpg screen grabs on your iphone

Use the iphone's photo viewer to look at the pics full screen

And there you have it, a real iphone truly displaying the real interface of the real Android. Only thing is, it's just a picture. Can't actually rur it. If you got really creative, you could screen capture video of you operating the emulator, and load it onto the iphone as a movie, and rehearse your finger moves to make it appear that you're operating it. Someone did this a while back with cover flow on an ipod video. Looked pretty convincing.
