    Default Android OS Updates??

Is there any word when they will be upgrading the OS so that the mentioned problems and bugs will be addressed ( like email notifications, constant sign off of aim and gtalk, soft keyboard etc. It would be awesome to get an update sometime in the first quarter. Preferably January.

As you should ask, as this is the community that your search found, so I am surprised so many people found it ok to just tell you to search some more.. probably to boost their post counts sadly...

    Anyhow!
Cupcake is what google has dubbed their latest OTA or, over the air update that will be sent to our phones over a period of a few days (when released).

It will contain things (supposedly) such as, video recorder, full virtual keyboard, numerous fixes, a browser uograde, x86 (more pc style processor support), as well as a great host of other functions.

Last I heard it was set for release sometime/shortly aafter new years day. It will be a rather big deal and improve usability of the Android platform greatly. If you search the disucssion forums of this site you will find a large amount of data about this update and all rumors surrounding it.

Hope this has been helpful, have a happy christmas!

Ive been a user and reader of AC before the G1 even dropped and I decided to ask a question after all this time. i was getting angry that T Mobile is thinking about dropping the G2 and they havent even fixed the problems of the G1. Thats when someone here mentioned cupcake. I'm fully aware what an OTA is too btw. but thanks for the breakdown.
