Out of no where, right before the RC33/Firmware 1.1 update I was starting to get instant, text messages from "701" showing that I have a new e-mail and when I'm at work and I send an e-mail it also notices me.
Now before the update, it was still annoying but it was notifying me, but now since the update took care of that... I am getting a text message and I am being notify properly by the E-mail notifier.
How the HELL do I stop those pecking text message from "701"?
This is my cooperate e-mail so it's pretty annoying now!
Thank you in advance!
Maybe you(or someone else) signed up for a service that sends you a text when you get an email?
Corporate email huh, contact your IT dep.
Google Chrome OS??
Sounds liek my virtual PBX.. Every time I get a call I get an email and every time I get a voicemail on my work like my personal line gets an MMS with the vmail attached.
I had this same exact problem shortly after I got my g1. I called t-mobile customer care and the person I talked to checked my account and found I had something on there that was pushing the texts through. She canceled it and I haven't had the problem since. Hope that helps.
+1... I had this service by choice on an earlier phone that couldn't get 3G. So, I could look at the text headings and see when it was worth downloading email. Was very cost effective in Europe as I could wait until I got to my wifi computer at the hotel (unless it was an urgent email, which I could tell from the text).
Sign into your T-Mobile account online. It's an option that was turned on. I cannot recall where it is exactly, but a little searching will find it.
Actually, considering how out of control this phone is on data roaming overseas, I may go back to using this service when in Europe. (Because I will shut down APNs with APNdroid).
