Apps Will Not Download

HI... I Am Using the t zones proxy hack to connect to the internet on my g1 and whenever i try to download something the app will not download. I was wondering if i can download through this hack on the g1. When i click on a link to download the download screen appears and says "waiting for data connection", after a moment it then says its "downloading" but after a few seconds it says "download unsuccessful". If you have any ideas they would be greatly appreciated
