Well one morning i woke up to check my phone and i had messages and emails so i tried to scroll the notification bar down to check them but the touch screen wouldnt work so i turned the phone off thinking it would help but when i tried to turn it on it wouldnt..
my g1 isnt dead it was on the charger when i turned it off. i have taken out the battery and there is no water damage and i have only dropped it once 3 months ago and nothing will light up even if i try to charge it.. it is just completely done for..
i have no insurance on it and idk what to do?![]()
•1. Were you using your provided HTC charger? Because using any other charger could mess with the touchscreen.
•2. How long have you had it and was it a direct purchase from T-mobile?
i had recieved my phone the end of november or beginning of december and yes i was using the provided htc charger..
if you bought it from tmo just give 'em a ring...it hasn't even been a year, and as long as YOU didn't physically damage it in the last oh, day or so, it's not really your fault...

i bought it from tmobile, the night before i went clubbing and just left it in the car cus it was dead and as soon as i got home i put it on the charger and now it just sits on my nightstand. i am going up to tmobile tomorrow but ihave no insurance so they are saying they cant do anything.
everything in is pretty good condition there is one scratch on the back from dropping it 3 months ago but when i go up there tmw they will hopefully fix it.. i really dont want a diff phone i like the g1 and it has lasted me longer than i thought it would![]()
Well he didn't think the phone would just crap out on him within a couple months of use.
T mobile should be able replace it as it sounds like a hardware problem, it sounds as if the charger port isn't workig anymore.
@ Riley, the phone is under warrenty for a year from the date of the purchase, not the full 2 years legnth of the contract.
i had meant to get insurance on it but they had to mail me the phone when i paid for it and i had to wait to get it i waited a month or so and it ended up gettin stolen but i got it back and i went to get insurance but it had passed the 14 days to get it... i didnt think it would last cus i thot i would end up breaking the screen bcus the screen size i thot it would be more fragile than most phones but i still wanted it, i never thot it woud just stop working randomly..![]()
