yup - I have 30
This does not seem to be affecting me (good!). From reading this thread, it seems that the only symptoms are that going to www.yahoo.com on a "hijacked" phone will take you to some anti-spyware site. I don't use yahoo very often, btw. I'm on RC30 and have installed A LOT of apps, including some non-market apps.

Try turning off Java Scripts. I do this when I know the site I'm going to is gonna have a lot of pop ups and such.
It wasn't just yahoo.com. Others had the very same thing with google.com
yahoo works fine for me, but i was having issues one AC forums last week.. when i would click a thread title it would give me some picture of some chick, or some weird writing on the screen in cursive...
but it hasnt happened in a while.

yahoo works for me
i have most of those apps you guys listed.
like i said just do a factory reset and you should be fine.....
im not doing a factory reaset everytime someone doesnt know what to do. that's not how prolems get solved long term. besides. 've already posted how i resolved it. now i want to know WHY it happened. someone managed to hijack this puppy and that makes me VERY uncomfortable. resetting doesnt help learn what happened ... besides being a pain in the butt to reload ell kinds of stuff every time. been there done that already and did not like it.
btw, i did also post on a google page... they emailed they are investigating
(sorry .. I'm not so great on this little keyboard yet.)

I haven't seen the same issue come up at all today, though I did learn that if I "Clear Data" for the browser from the applications settings, it wipes out all my bookmarks. Meh.
I'm hesitant to do the factory reset myself because I'd like to keep trying to collect any information I can from this. I'm wondering if I can set up a wireless network off one of my linux boxes and run wireshark on it so I can snoop on everything coming from the phone. Sure would be nice if I could just run wireshark on the phone, but I guess I can't have everything.
Someone needs to do a factory reset and see if that fixes the issue. Also as for the cause of this issue i wonder if it has to do with something the user picks up by visiting a shady website.
I hope this is not some type of spyware or malware that android is vulernable to. grrrr
cant put this damn phone down...
