try booting with your windows cd and do a repair of the system. the only thing you'll lose is windows updates.
I was rooted cupcake.
Worked great for a few weeks then started having issues with the SD card "suddenly being removed" etc etc. It was JF 1.5.
So, I installed the legitimate 1.5 found here.

Now whenever I plug in my phone to my home computer it blue-screens. My work computer is dandy. It's is plugged in as I type this.
-Nuthing has changed on my home computer.
-Updated BIOS and chipset drivers. (still blue-screens)
-Tried different cables. (still blue-screens)
-Tried removing all usb devices from device manager. (still blue-screens)
-Tried plugging in when phone does not have SD card installed. (still blue-screens.
-Tried plugging in when phone is off. (WORKS) Then blue-screens when phone turned on.
-Tried different ports. (still blue-screens).
Halp?

HOW TO INSTALL 1.33.2005 SPL (HAYKURO'S SPECIAL SPL) http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f...uctions-20500/
Its not the computer. My computer is great as long as I don't plug in my android. I was hoping this was something you guys had ran into before.
Plug the phone into a different comp.
If you get bluescreen again, its the phone. If not, its the comp.

Not a bit of lag!

SPL: 1.33.2005

I have. As I said in the original post. And it works.
Do you have any idea why switching from JF 1.5 to legit 1.5 would cause the computer to no longer like the phone?
It doesnt make sence.. I wouldnt think that's the cause or that its your phone at all.
Especially since your computer at work has no problem with it.
Maybe something with how the drivers are installed to your computer.
You know how windows is.. you've tried rebooting your home computer..
Another thing if rebooting doesnt work is.. Try booting into SafeMode (Hit F5 as the computer turns on)
In safe mode, plug the phone in"
Right click My computer
Hit Manage
Select Device Manager in the Left pane
Find Android Phone and Right click an Uninstall it.
Boot back into Normal windows and try plugging the phone back in and letting it reinstall itself.
EDIT
Also try different devices in the USB port that bluescreens.. it may have gone bad.

I have tried that port with different devices and it works fine.
My android doesn't pop up under device manager. So there is nothing to uninstall.
I will give safemode a try when I get home. Forgot to try that.
The reason I pointed the finger at the phone is because in the morning(yesterday) it worked on my home computer. Then I went to work and flashed from JF 1.5 to OTA 1.5. When I got home it blue-screened.
Check Device Manager > Disk drives > HTC Android Phone USB Device
It will only be there when its plugged in, but you cant do that or you'll get bluescreen, so see what happens in safemode.
Goodluck

Safemode works fine. So, there has to be some crazy drivers **** going on. Thanks for the help.
You might have tried this already, but if you use a USB hub, try bypassing the hub and plugging directly into the PC. My Mac will crash every single time I plug my G1 in using a USB hub, but it works just fine when I don't use the hub. Just wanted to pass that along. :-)
