Cracked LCD Digitizer

so the other day i cracked the digitizer on my G1 and the screen doesn't work but it doesn't seem to be cracked. because i took the phone apart and took took out the LCD and there is no spider web cracks in it anywhere.

so my question is does anyone if you just damage the digitizer to bad would that make the screen not show any picture. let me know

My gfs screen was like that also. No cracked or anything. It was showing only partial of the pictures. 75% working and 25% black. I bought a new screen and POOF! It worked fine now. It may just be the screen, from the impact. Good luck
