Just got my OTA update too. They've changed the format of the build number. No RC mentioned in it any more. Now it just says CRB17.

It took about 4 minutes to download (GPRS probably), about 1 minute to flash, it then rebooted and went back to the download screen for about 1 second, then rebooted again. A new silver ANDROID logo appeared that shimmered for about 3 or 4 minutes, before my familiar desktop finally appeared. The whole process took around 9 or 10 minutes. So don't worry if it looks like it's not doing anything for ages...

I received cupcake OTA this morning (UK, t-mobile, unmodded)

It has killed the powermanager app, and more annoyingly it has killed the SD card.

'Notifications' now has an 'ongoing' category and the message is 'The SD card has been removed. Insert a new SD card.'

I have removed, reinserted, rebooted, everything. And of course, I cant use the new camcorder app without an SD card.

Other than that, interface is cleaner and slicker, and I like having the calendar widget on the desktop.

A firmware update isn't capable of killing an SD card. What is more likely to have happened is it just died when the firmware downloaded to it and the SD card already had a fault in the area where the firmware saved to.

Or, the new firmware checked the SD card for errors (this is a new feature mentioned in Google - it checks and fixes errors on the SD card). It found some, and couldn't fix them. But, again, this means your SD card was the root cause, or data was saved to it in an incomplete manner (e.g. the phone was powered off mid-save, or the SD card ejected mid-save).

My SD card is fine after the 1.5 update this morning.

I got my OTA update this morning! Very happy with it

Just wondered if anyone else has got the newer icons like on the Magic? The only Icon that has changed for me is the Broswer. Not a big issue would have just looked a bit fresher with newer icons.
