Cupcake update + Flash 10 = iPhone massacare!

Not to bash the iPhone too much but when the Cupcake update is released with all the new features (VK, Stereo Bluetooth support, Video recorder, Updated Webkit etc..) plus the Flash 10 player release sometime early next year and all the new high end Android devices which is also coming in 2009 I really really don't think the iPhone have a chance... What do you guys think?

Don't think the Iphone doesn't have something coming soon.

I'm sure there will be iphone 3g v2.0 that will have all the goodies listed above.

I think they have all that stuff figured out but they don't want to release it until they make a new phone, that way everyone will want to upgrade and buy the new phone.

Never underestimate the power of fashion and group-think. Apple will re-up the G1, don't you worry. Everybody think this apple-vs-google android is a zero-sum game. I'd say Google will be winning if Android survives a couple of business cycles.

I don't think Apple will let that happen. Remember: THEY are intentionally leaving features off their phone. Flash is already developed for it, and they could add all the features in cupcake tonight and have them ready for release tomorrow if they wanted. Also, don't assume they haven't been working on new hardware. No doubt there will be a high-res. iphone with some crazy new nvidia chipset, auto-focus camera (which will allow ShopSavvy, et al), and who knows what other features. They started out ahead, and got 2 years head start on us. Don't think they are just going to lay down and let Android take it that easily. So, will our G1s be CURRENT iPhone 3G killers? Maybe. For a little while. But as soon as it affects the balance of things, they'll strike back. But that's good. Competition is good for everyone.

But that's only if China released the Ophone here on the US market, at a reasonable price.

I can't wait to see a performance video for the phone, and all it has to offer

haha i smashed my first g1 on accident had replaced and now no squeak. Thats the trick Ryan....you throw your initial G1 at first Iphone user you see, then you get a better one that includes the headphone jack attatchment lmao

I have considered doing this multiple times.... i didnt intitially get insurance on the phone can i still get it if my phone is in original condition?
