Did the phone come with a microSD card in the box?
thought i read that somewhere could be mistaken......haven really had chance to look at everything in the book jus took the phone went lol

how come when i go to download a attachment from gmail it says "insert sd card" or no sd card found something like that

Yup it's in there. Just can't directly access it if you have it tethered to a pc unless you turn off some feature that causes it to be seen as a drive to the pc

mine said it was unmounted - i ejected it and put it back in and its worked fine since then

That i dont know. Do you have it hooked up to a computer? if so, that could cause it to say that. I popped my 1gb out that came with it and put in my 4gb card when I got it. I have heard rumors that some cards are not working.. Originally Posted by newarkdanny

settings>sd card & phone storage> and uncheck use for usb storage

Check in the microSD card slot and make sure there's one in there. It should have came inside the phone when you bought it. You could possibly have a bad card.
Also, check Settings > SD Card & Phone Storage > Mount SD Card
