    Default Dutch Android firmware

    Hello,

Last week I got lucky and got my hands on a G1 Demo android for the Dutch market. I've been playing with this machine and have noticed some differences with what I read on the internet.

First the RC number is not displayed in the version of the firmware.
Second, if I try to set the phone back to an older RC (want to get root) It starts to load the file in the boot screen but gives the message it's "not allow" (I think this means that it's not allowed).

So no root for me yet. Still working on it but I think I'll have to wait till people with more skill than me get their hands on it.

I've got the same problem as you. It is a android G1 t-mobile version.
And I want to root it, but got the same message as Spoon like ' not allow '.
Do I do something wrong? I do as told: copy the RC29 image to the microsd as the only file, formated it to fat32 before. Then shutdown phone, then begin flashing with camera button pressing and then press power button...
    So any advice?
