Will we need to do anything to make hte update happen tomorrow? How will we know if our phones were updated?

It will be automatic. Just look for a message to show up on your phone and follow directions.

Seriously people relax, there is a patch coming out tomorrow.. and will continue to come out to hot fix a lot of little things. If you expect something to work perferctly everytime everyday especially at launch you are misguided or unrealistic. Look at your updates on your computer and see how many hotfixed Microsoft is shooting out on a weekly basis. Just chill this is america no one forces you to do anything, if you dont like it sell it, go buy a pre paid metro and have a coke and a smile.

I hope the update gives us a pin number to access a bank account google has set up for all G1 users with billions of dollars in it. That would be a nice update.
