G1 automatically goes to recovery utility, wont boot

My wife's G1 will not get past the recovery utility. Figured I would go about a manual cupcake install (she got it OTA a couple days ago and working fine until now). Still not working.

When she was on RC33 this happened so I wiped and manual installed RC33 again and worked great. So I don't know what's up with this.

Any help/suggestions?

sounds like you have a file on your sdcard thats causing issues. you have dreaimg.nbh on your card? or just try wiping it first.

No, just update.zip (cupcake) and 4 folders (dcim, music, data, albumthumbs). The cupcake install goes good, says installation complete and then install from sdcard complete. Then I reboot and it goes through and writes the radio image fine.

Still doing it.

Also, I cannot get into bootloader. No matter what it just goes to recovery utility even after I reboot.

I think that's exactly it.

I can't reboot it with home+back in the recovery mode either. Wife just told me that it was stuck when it was on too. Could've been helpful info from the get-go lol

So any options to get it unstuck? I tried mashing it thinking it's physically stuck albeit it feels fine with a push.
