    Default G1 hard reset


    does anyone know what the hard reset procedure is? is it an app in the settings or a button combination? or is there a pinhole to be depressed like on my tytn? just curious. searched the threads and manual and saw nothing. thanks

    good question... a lot of htc phones have moved to a button combination + power button in order to hard reset your phone... it really does all depend on how the software stack handles a "hard" reset as well though, so i don't know if this question will be answered until release... hopefully the operating system is so stable as predicted that hardware resets would be a thing of the past...

    osx on the iphone is close to ii

    Here's the part in the user guide:
    System settings
    Basic phone settings

    Internal phone storage - Reports how much internal storage is free.

    The phone has a total of 256 MB internal flash memory. You can also
    select to reset your phone to factory settings. This will erase all your
    data from the phone and require you to sign in and go through the setup
    screens to use any of the applications.

    You do mean hard reset as in reverting back to default factory settings right?

    thanks. i simply typed hard reset in pdf file, which turned up nothing. guess i need to read entire manual tonight. been busy working. thanks again

    I had my G1 phone for just 5 days and guess what all of the sudden my
    phone get out of power i called t-mobile technecian
    they told me to hold the home image button + th epower button (harware reset) did not work @ all then I have my wife g1 phone i switch the battery did not work at the end i discover that Phone is bull****

    To hard reset...turn the phone on while holding home and back. Follow on screen prompt.

    hold home + power
    once phone is on, open keyboard and hold alt first + w

    delete all app. what you installed on your phone and put default settings on yours cellphone.

    delete everything: app., contacts, all cellphone memory.

    thank you so much!!! f***ing ahome app keep force closing when i try to return to the home screen. couldn't get into the settings to reset the HOME default. everything's all good now. thanks
