G1 Profiles question

Is there a way to have the volume of a ringer (phone call) all the way up, but a message (sms, mms, gmail, email) muted at the same time? Like a Phone-Only profile on the Blackberry?

im not sure but i think you can do something like that with an app called "volume control"

there is an option for ring level and notification level... so i think so...

I use the program called "bedtime" for that. It turns off all audible notifications except for the ringer. With elderly parents, I like to keep my phone on at night for emergency's, so this comes in handy.

woah wait...nevermind. Volume Control doesn't work. Ringer is up....notifications are down and i still got a noif. sound when i get a text....

Try the app "bedtime" (the one susan suggested) and see if you have more luck with that one

I can't find the bedtime app...searched it and nothing comes up.

It's ok...I guess it works. Good bedside app though . I think I might just make a blank notification tone and set it for my text messaging stuff. that'll hopefully do it
