anyone thinking itll be like a flash on a PSP?
Based on another post on the forum containing T-Mobile's new FAQ about the G1:
I think we can assume that updates to the Android OS (on the G1 at least) will be done in an Over The Air (OTA) style. Will the T-Mobile G1 be available in Spanish?
Initially, we will launch an English-version of the device. We do have plans, however, to release an over-the-air software update to include Spanish language.

ya'll are too smart for me, that's why i joined, to get the scoop from you all, maybe i can contribute once i get the phone, i was told today however, by a T-mobile rep (one i have used for years, never steered me wrong, and by the way is going to work for ATT), that the G1 will be better, and that the Corpus Christi, TX area, will get 3G in around 6 months.

OTA is more convenient I guess since they do not need to re-invent the weel, I guess it is like getting a txt msg saying you bill is ready, your minutes almost over or enter #123* to update your version.
But another option (alongside the SD Card) would be to have it at the android market, that way those without the phone could not try the #123* code (Note I just made up this code, pls dont bother to try it).
Just saying!
i am not digging the over the air transmission.
i never had a phone that did this. is ur phone usable during download? how is it installed after it is downloaded?
I would say so, of course if you are in a 3G area.
Hah, missed me by a few months there, chief.
Too slow!
