Gapless Playback

Does the music player on the G1 have gapless playback or is there certain hope for a top notch app that features gapless? This is the one other feature that would drive the last nail in the Iphone or G1 battle.

That's all software. Even the better WinMo mp3 players had gapless playback AND customizable crossfading (Pocket Tunes for one, I think...).

Almost a year later and nothing has changed. Does this not bother anyone or perhaps the fact that Android phones, particularly the G1 having made music an afterthought?

not even the new Fender mytouch has a 'real' music player. granted the cover flow type of thing is nice but no gapless playback, no graphic eq or bass boost. so much for music experience!
