Garmin Android phone

Personally, I don't see why they want to launch a handset at all. They should just release a navigation app for any android handset. They'll make much much more that way.

+1 especially if your software was the cream of the crop. Who better to make a Nav/Cellphone than the guys who kick ass at nav. I've yet to see a cellphone/smartphone that can do a great job at replacing a standard nav system.

It's like me going out and raising millions of dollars to release a GasBot Android phone. There's no real point.

I was actually looking forward to a GasBot edition phone with a Bluetooth earpiece shaped like a gas pump. Thanks for killing that dream

I wish Garmin would just make an Android app. I had an old Sprint phone that I downloaded the Garmin app onto. It was exactly like the Garmin GPS that a friend of mine has in his truck. Voice, the whole nine yards. I figure if that old phone could do it, then a G1 should definitely be able to do it.
