Google Android prototype phone in the flesh!!!

Sure it looks like a typical HTC smartphone but wow – this is one of the first rare shots of the Android prototype phone caught in the wild.


A Gizmodo reader had this to say about it after using it for a day:

Even in early form, it’s light and fast, much faster than the desktop emulator at times. And as a longtime programmer, he thinks it’s a lot more put together than Windows Mobile 5 on the backside of things.

Even though this is only a prototype, all things point to great things to come from the Android platform. I have to agree with Gizmodo that HTC designs remind me too much of Windows Mobile, so a fresh design and layout is welcome with open arms.

Yeah it does look a bit generic. I have a Treo 680, I wouldnt mind this form factor.

that is really ugly. if that was really the google phone they i think google would lost alot of money trying to promote and sell. people nowadays not only want specs but looks and style as well.
