Hero ROM/Rosie UI/SMS?

I just had a pretty simple question for those users who have went through the process of using the Hero/Ion ROM and using the Rosie UI.
My question is in the past threads, there have been videos posted before the release of an SMS widget available on one of the homescreens on the Rosie UI, is this possible to duplicate as an application or hopefully create a Widget, now that we have 1.5 Firmware? Is there a possiblity that a dev, can build this kind of a widget for use of SMS messages?
I know there will be many replies posting that there is SMS popup, which is a great application however, I have never rooted, but anytime I've ever used SMS pop up, a pop up text message will have a black graphical error square around the message, i've Factory reset, and done everything I can. However, no use in fixing this problem, so now I stick to the regular messaging by going through my phone to check for text messages.

On this screen shot, you can see that near the bottom underneath the time,there is a message that shows the user a message is available at what time, and the sender, is there anyway to build this into some kind of a widget? I somehow believe this is possible if we can have weather feeds and digital clocks as well as memory widgets.

Can anyone be helpful by posting a reply that may help?
if not possible to duplicate the same type of messaging created in Rosies UI, is it possible to mimic, and make something else work that way? and have messages appear in different interesting ways rather than a notifcation bar, or SMS pop up? it could be a widget or the screen you see before you unlock to your homepage, as that screenshot above, a message will be written on your homescreen telling you who has sent you a message?

man i have been saying this for this longest.... people should've been trying to port the hero's goodies to the good builds we have now because honestly dont think we will ever have a fast hero rom.

thank god you came through Lazy, yes, do you think its possible to get those goodies, including SMS widgets on our Nonroot/Root (non hero) builds?

maybe doesnt even have to be a ROM or build like Hero and using Rosie's UI very slowly, I'm just wondering if it can be as simple as a small or maybe medium sized text message widget, and scroll up and down to flip through unread messages, then click a little graphic for inbox or close, reply etc. Then if you do get a message unlike the Iphone or SMS popup, instead of having the message appear on your phone, u get a noticeo n your home screen telling you who its from and what time, exactly like that screen shot on my original post. That could maybe get some LED or vibration if it was possible too. thoughts?

im not sure but i bet it would be easier then trying to optimize rosie's pasty ass.... honestly if i can get the ion rom or the rodgers with with the hero messaging and music app, and the lock screen i would be set.

lol by "we" i meant g1 users... im positive the hero can run its own rom. it will most likely come with more ram.
