Its possible. If the phone has WiFi the ability to wirelessly to use it as a wireless access point.
I know we're all speculating, and I know the old pat answer "all it takes is for someone to write software"... but does anyone here have experience with using a mobile phone as a wireless access point? The only connections the Dream has are USB and bluetooth, right? Is this enough? Also, knowing next to nothing about what level this type of thing has to be coded at--CPU? Assembly? OS? Application?--I wonder if it's a capability that's readily available, easy to code for, or, just maybe, impossible with Android and/or the Dream.
Thoughts?

Ahh, yes, duh. I didn't think about WiFi. Is that how other phones do it? Again, showing my ignorance on this subject, but I'm very curious. The more things this phone can do that the iPhone can't the happier I get about my decision to pass up a good deal a few days ago...

I have two ways to do it with my iPhone. It will have plenty of things it can do, one of those being tethering. There is always a huge demand for this so I believe it wont be long after launch that it will surface.
I think they've disallowed tethering. When you think about it, it's not fair because people pay $60-$70 to have a mobile data connection for a laptop. Why should people who are paying half, or less than half have the same option?
I for one would like to see this come true... Remember Android does not equal to G1, and T-Mobile is not the only operator that has an Android device on its network.
