Where's my keyboard, Mr. Magic is definetely better?
I agree, the keyboard miss me too, but both the hardware and software are improved and the Magic looks better. The G1 is a fantastic phone, but it's certainly not a piece of art. The Magic will be my first Android phone (I live in France) and I'm glad that the "update" will be made for the launch of the platform in Europe.
I agree the platform looks great. It's a lot sleeker and has a little sexy factor. But....no physical keyboard kills it for me. I hated the ipharts VK and I love my G1's keyboard with a passion I usually reserve for the bedroom.I am glad to see we are finally seeing smartphones becoming the standard and competition is heating up giving us more choices.
The only thing different between the units, Magic looks more sleek than the Dream, the Magic has 512MB of Storage space, the Dream only has 256MB, oh yeah and Cupcake, but we will probably get that for the Dream in a later update, other than those differences it basically a HTC Dream missing a hardware keyboard.

I have to say, the Magic does have its sexy look, but it really doesn't have anything more than that over the dream. Plus the dream has a keyboard which, to many, is a MUST have for texting and emailing. And, from what I've heard so far, the Dream is in fact getting cupcake, so there is no reason for everyone to get the Magic for cupcake. But to each his own. Personally, I think they should have made the Magic waaay better than the Dream, like putting in flash for the camera and a 3.5mm headphone jack. I still love my Dreamyy :P

Uhm, I doubt that is actually 1:1 accurate scaling. The screens should be about the same. The Magic looks like a bastard version of the Dream.
looks sweet, def looks more sexy...but no physical keyboard? Grrr...i see no reason to upgrade on that fact alone. Sorry magic, i love my G1. I will be patient...
I HAVE the dream.
How is the magic "better"? Bluetooth transfer works? Real document support? Functioning email (POP3)? Speed Dialer? UMA? And... no keyboard? I'll keep my Dream, skip the Magic and wait for the Abracadabra. The phone has issues, but the software needs the work.
