I think every Android phone should get new firmware updates offically.
I fully understand that this will probably not happen due to the fact that phone companies want to sell new phones. But, since phones have come so far in technology and seem to be sold at a lower price then in the past, the phone companies probably make more money off the data and minutes usage plans so I don't think that it would hurt them if they supported Android updates to every phone mainly because Android is Android. Just my thoughts, what do you think about this and how can we make something like this possible seeing as how we are almost 2 million strong worldwide.

every android phone will be updated ...... as i understand . there will just be just different "flavors" of android later on , for different phone companies and/or manufactures

I was unaware of this, that's good news. I plan on getting more Android handsets but I would like the ability to use them all without them being obsolete.
