Default Install Android on Your WM device

OK, I finds .cab app. for install HaRET Version 0.5.1 (Android) in Your WM device, I think same app. what You saw on Internet, like HTC run Android OS.

I put link where You can download file with three CAB installer for Android, I think is every three .cab is the same.

first: download CAB installer, then install in memory device, run app., just to go to Start-> Programs -> Android and wait. But it may not work for everyone, like for me. If don't want work just restart your device.

And I put also link for more details how run CAB installer with download CAB FILE. *EDIT See below for instructions.

I put HaRET (Android) in my device, HTC P3600 (Trinity) but is don't want work in my device. If somebody successfully run Android in this device, please tell me. Also will be OK if somebody successfully run Android in others WM device and share this with us.

"I created a CAB installer for Android. I have tested installing it to the device and it works. You can install it to a memory card but the link in the Programs folder doesn't always work. If it doesn't you can go to the Programs folder on the memory card and manually run haret.exe
This installer is an all in one installer. You may have to edit the default.txt in the Programs folder if your carrier requires different settings to connect. I use Sprint and the file that comes included works.
I will try and keep this updated with the latest build.
    Keep in mind the following:

    • To run, just to go to Start-> Programs -> Android. Click Run and wait.
    • Might not run from an SD card. I can get Android running from the SD card no problems but it may not work for everyone.
    • If you do run it from the SD card, you might have to update the link in the Start Menu Programs folder
    • This should allow you to save information and install programs now
    • You really shouldn't need to do any screen calibration in Android
    • The camera button brings up the on screen keyboard
    • You might have to get an Internet connection going before you launch
    • More than 6 notifications sometimes crashes Androi"

I found a phone on Craigslist that would be perfect to put Android onto.....

This is a unlock GSM touch diamond this phone is NOT running windows 6.1 its the default HTC Settings so you can add your own software. it also holds 2 sim cards for 2 diffrent numbers it works for T-moblie and AT&T. Open to Trades Maybe a Iphone 3G or PS3 with cash

Well I am assuming this is just SDK android version - is it worth it to have it on the device?

I tried Tmobile MDa (WM5) and it did not work - I got blank screen and then it turned off everything so Hard Reset had to happen (taking battery out) ...

PS. Tried running it from Memory card

Honestly about the only purpose for this is for novelty or to just try it out.

I'm pretty sure it's just being emulated in windows mobile. Not only is your memory limited to begin with, but so is your speed due to an OS running and emulating another OS.

Cool trick, but not made to be a replacement OS. I'm hoping that in the future they'll have a full kernel with required drivers to run on WinMo devices...although I'll already have my WinMo devices sold by that time
