MMS on G1 in Asia

hi all,
i've been using my g1 in asia. everything works well except for mms. it's strange. the setting for mms is:

MMSC: http://mms.starhubgee.com.sg:8002/
Proxy: 10.12.1.80
APN: shmms

with this setup, i'm still unable to receive and send mms. any ideas ?

In switzerland, I've the same problem... when I enter the mms settings, the 3G stop working and the mms doesn't work
