Short story: I have full multitouch scaling and panning working in specially-developed apps on a stock T-Mobile G1 Android phone with a change to just one system classfile (i.e. with no modifications to the kernel whatsoever).

One of my friends told me the only reason it wasn't used was because of some legal dispute (but I think it sounds like bull **** to me).

on a side note, what was that crazy window interface he had going there?
Might I say I havent heard about this for a while. Finally very nice smooth start type of demo. Now lets see what Devs could do with it, play around with it also. I just really love the zoom feature.
