it sucks that blackberrys get "push" email - no matter WHERE it comes from
but android only supports ONE "push" email acct - even if its coming from gmail accts

Also good to keep in mind that Office docs will only show in Gmail reader, so use whichever email you recieve most of those docs in as the primary

just restore all settings and youll have to sign in with SOME gmail account...make it a different one and im sure youll be fine...
Can't we just download a copy of the apk for Gmail. Rename it to Gmail2 or something, then install it? Would that work to give us a 2nd gmail app?
And in regards to signing in with a different account: you can use AnyCut to make a shortcut to the setup wizard, which allows you to go through that process again. not sure if it wipes your data or not though. Don't know if this still works in jf adp 1.5

Google seriously needs to come up with a robust solution for consolidating accounts.
I'm very interested in the possibility of having a second instance of the Gmail app as you suggest. Has anyone tried this?
do you need an actual second "instance" of the app running
or just a way to switch between various gmail accts
(which is the way i understand it to work in the new app)
??
How do you do that? I want to be able to have any email address forwarded to your gmail account even other g mail accounts.. then you have one login with multiple accounts
