So Tuesday night i had to fly to boston, then get a ride to New Hampshire and drive a UHaul truck back to Western New York. I of course brought both my G1's and here are few things i noticed about them.....
Flight: So I turned the phone on flight mode and listened to mp3's for 64 minutes and the phone only dropped from 49% to 45%, which i though was EXCELLENT
3G: Well Boston had excellent 3G coverage and was really really fast, and didnt kill the battery as much as i thought it would.
Drive Home: My backup G1 for some reason had some battery issues on the way home (especially since it was just on and not being used at all), when driving thru the 3G area the phone became extremely hot and i could almost literally watch the battery go down like a glass of water with a hole in it. I have no idea why this happened, i got back home an hour ago and re-charged the phone and it seems fine.
Overall: I was really impressed just by the total t-mobile coverage on this trip, had almost full service the whole way, and like i said the 3G was EXCELLENT
* when roaming on previous phones with t-mobile i was never allowed to access ATT towers, now with the G1 thats all i roam off of...............interesting
** sorry to all ACers who were messaging me and got no response, it was to hard to drive a UHaul and GTalk
