    Default Official Cupcake firmware for European users manual install guide


    - Download the file http://android.clients.google.com/up...u.17667e06.zip
    - Change the file name to Update
    - Plug your phone into your computer
    - Mount your phone
    - Put the Update.zip file into the main folder
    - Then turn off phone
    - Once turned off hold the home button and Power button
    - A screen will come up. press ALT+L
    - Then press ALT+S
    - then let it do its thing

    Requirments
    You must have the latest build prior to the cupcake build (firmware 1.1). It must be an official build and not a moddified build

    You must have the Uk/European Firmware version of the Android OS installed on your phone. (THIS IS ONLY FOR UK AND EUROPEAN PHONES)

    Languages Supported:
    Czech
    German (Austria)
    German (Germany)
    English
    Dutch

    Anybody tried this? What exactly does it do? Is it ok for Ukusers?

    yes i have it installed, it works perfectly, and i am in the UK

    Does this update mean we are unrooted and 'normal' eg. will receive future OTA updates?

    yes, this is the actualy firmware, meaning you do not need root, it will be the firmware everyone else will receive OTA

    Hi

    i am trying you update guide

    haveing a few problems ,

    1. where do i put the update.zip file ? i have put it in the root of the mounted drive is this corect

    2. when i reboot the phone with back and home button , i press alt+L then alt +s nouthing happens

    is this all wrong ?

    when you press the home button and the power button does a logo come up with a phone and an exclamation mark ?
