Thank your good luck, go to XDA forum and install the modified RC30 update.

Hmm... that is weird. I wish there were some smart cellular tech people in the forum that could tell us how things like that happen. You shouldn't have to do things like that manually because things could go wrong, and you might have a hard time explaining that to tmo. Although these updates are pretty easy, and I haven't heard of anyone having a serious problem yet, but the fact that you haven't received the update at all is still quite odd.

I was stuck on RC19 forever then manually updated to RC29. The very next day I got the update (OTA) for RC30.

There should be a feature on the phone that would allow you to check manually. if there is an update then you should be prompted if you would like to download the latest version.

When did you get your phone? It took me over a week to get the update after I bought my phone to get it. I called tmobile, and they told me the update goes out in "batches" according to when you ordered and bought your phone.... Not sure if this helps any?

does the rc29 improve the battery? Also what is the modified rc30 thing.How is that different?
