Only one Gmail account

how can you foward all ur other mail to the gmail? and is the gmail neccesary for the g1 just out of curiosity.. cause i dont have 1

most email accounts have some sort of auto-forwarding settings. you will have to sign up for a free gmail account to use the G1.

With gmail, you can link it to other accounts from different domains. I can send from 4 or 5 email addresses besides my 'main' gmail address that they're all linked to. I'm wondering if this feature will be available from the G1. Anyone know?

you shouldn't have to go through all that.

I don't understand. they want more people to use gmail and other services. Thats part of their motivation to release free software like android. I setup all my email accounts like this to keep them organized and accessible from home and the office. I did this years ago before the G1 was even mentioned. I got in gmail back when you had to be invited to use it.
