Pics/Videos of the G1's dialer?

I know someone brought this up in another thread, but it was never addressed...what is the dialer like on this phone? do you have to use the keyboard or is there a virtual dialer, despite the lack of a virtual keyboard?

There's a virtual dialer. Looks A LOT like the iphone's. This is just from having used the emulator for a while now. I would assume it's the same in the production model.

Does anybody know if you can dial with letters? The SK offers this feature, and it's fairly useful from time to time.

Well that is good to know...having to open the keyboard everytime you wanted to make a call would be terrible.

Now, does the dialer look like a normal telephone with the #'s and their corresponding letters? One thing I hate about my E61 is that I have to guess which letter goes with the # in the event that I have to dial 1-800-BIG-T1T$ or what not

See, that's when it would be nice to be able to dial with letters!

Here's a pic of the Android dialer, as of v. .9 1.0 is out today (downloading now). I'll update if it has changed (doubtful)

Yep. Just launched v.1. No different at all. In fact, I can't find any differences to speak of. --Probably all "under the hood".

Thanks for uploading the pic, I've been looking for the dialer interface.

Looks like it'll be very easy to dial out.
